Institute for Public Affairs published a study V4 at the Time of Polycrisis. Public Perception written by Oľga Gyárfášová a Grigorij Mesežnikov.
Today, the existence of the Visegrad Four (V4) is connected with the general development in the entire region of Central Europe. It affects the current internal political situation in four Central European countries, the fundamental changes that have taken place in their societies over the past several decades as well as the nature of their mutual relations and their interactions with the outer world.
What do inhabitants of individual V4 countries think about their cooperation? Do they even know what it entails? How do they view its future? To what degree do they trust each other? How do they perceive other nations in Europe and in the world? What is their position on their countries’ membership in integration groupings? How do they view the current challenges, threats and pivotal international developments?
All these questions, which form an important dimension of the Visegrad Group’s internal cohesiveness on the level of individuals, have been answered by the research project entitled Global Challenges and Visegrad Cooperation: The Public Perception. Thanks to the financial support from the International Visegrad Fund it was implemented by the Institute for Public Affairs in 2023–2024. Project’s results are presented in this publication.
